Turning Five

Turning five years old is a big deal. It’s a right of passage of sorts. It’s that transitional age between baby and little girl, and it’s a time that’s full of discovery and fun. It’s a time to be silly and to dream. Wouldn’t it be great to be five again?

To wonder and smile sweetly…
To dance and to twirl…
To discover the world in every little detail…

To have an unending curiosity for the world…

To not have a care in the world…

To look off into the sunset unaware of the infinite possibility this world presents…
dreaming of the future....

It is an amazing feeling to capture unique personalities with my camera — nuances that may only present themselves for a short time in childhood. But that’s what makes photography so amazing. Freezing those special moments forever.
